Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs):
If you’re age 70½ or older, you can donate up to $108,000 directly from your IRA to a qualified charity like CHF. This gift can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and may reduce your taxable income—helping you put your dollars to work in the community rather than toward taxes.
Gifts of Stock or Appreciated Assets:
By donating stock or other appreciated assets, you avoid capital gains taxes and may also save on state income tax. Plus, you’ll receive a federal income tax deduction (and sometimes a state deduction too).
